Wow ... now that is one awesome and foredoding sky you've captured there Stepheno ! Absolutely super ... and it would have been so powerful if you had caught the subject the rays had rested on !
Like this one a lot ... worth the drop of on the way home then ...! |

Very dramatic looking, with the rays of sunlight streaming through the clouds. Nice shot

I like this one too but then I have an almost identical shot, so I would!
I pulled over at the rodaside for mine & quickly snapped on Auto, seconds later...the scene was gone so I didnt have time to think about where the rays were actually falling... something Ill keep in mind for the next time though!

Awesome capture there chief. Very dramatic sky, with the lovely rays setting it off a treat.
Not too sure about the fence in the foreground. I tend to be of the persuasion, that it's either "in or out", ie, you can see it, or it's silhouetted, if that makes sense. This fence, for me, sits inbetween. Just a thought

I know what you mean, Marcel, about the fence. I don't mind something there, as foreground interest but thats really neither in nor out. Thanks for the crit.

![]() still, it's fun to do silly things in the snow in a rear engine, rear drive car

Ahhh the memories of taking my second ever car (Mk1 Fiesta), onto a very snowy/icy local industrial estate car park.
Best fun I had in a long while

I think you took that one just for me - I'm a sucker for "weather" shots and this one is great. i waited 30 years to get rays in the right place over Ely Cathedral so I think you would have been late home to satisfy some of the earlier comments!
