Cropping suggestions -edits welcome

Here's my go :

Cropped the RH tree out + cloned out the remaining edge, darkened the sky a bit, using the selective colour tool to add a bit more black + magenta into the blues, then sharpened @ 50:1:0. Voila

It's spooky that you did that P-E 'cos I did one of exactly the same crop, but I binned it! Yours looks good tho'

The letterbox crop would have been my choice for competition - judges seem to like it - or perhaps suggesting it gives them something to talk obout. The single tree in the square format works well - perhaps because I was brought up on 2 1/4 sq negatives.

The reason I binned mine was I felt the tree on the RHS was a bit too near the edge for a balanced result, hence I stuck with the square crop - glad you liked it
