Soooo wedding show season is nearly upon us - my first show this year is on 3rd September. I've been working on a slick presentation that will be displayed on a 32" HD LCD TV but, because folks can't take that away with them, the inevitable task of having flyers to hand out is a must.
With this in mind, I've come up with two variations on a flyer and I'd appreciate any thoughts / comments on them. They're intended for print at A6 and the designs shown include 3mm extra on each side for trim/bleed purposes. ![]() ![]() I've got a few weeks to refine them but basically will be sending them to print around mid August just to be on the safe side. Thanks in advance! |

Re: Not exactly a photo, but
I prefer the bride in the first one but the simple background of the second.

Re: Not exactly a photo, but
My comments apply to both flyers. Firstly, why haven't you got your web address with the info? Secondly, the white text doesn't stand out against the white/light background. I also found that particular font not easy to read.
Of the two I prefer the second flyer, I like the blur on the model. HTH |

Re: Not exactly a photo, but
Same for me, I prefer the second but the white text is very difficult to read against the light background, I might also be tempted to cut down the amount of text.

Re: Not exactly a photo, but
I prefer the model in the first flyer as it's always much better to see a smiling face, although the background is a little to busy as I prefer the background of the second flyer. Font and size are ok but needs to be darker, also you need to put your site address so that possible punters can see samples of your work.
Hope that helps |

Re: Not exactly a photo, but
2nd shot for me without a doubt. A wedding is pure fantasy for the bride & this image gives that impression. Agree with struggling to read text, although it may look better in print.
Even though you have an email address, a lot of people are not Net savvy enough to deduce your website is the bit after the @. |

Re: Not exactly a photo, but
Like the layout of the second, but text colour is a problem.

Re: Not exactly a photo, but
Thanks for all your input: based on the feedback received here and on some other web forums, the shots have been revised as follows:
![]() and ![]() I'm shooting again with the model in the 2nd picture this weekend (same dress is being used btw) and will have another, new model along for the shoot in a plain white dress - so I'll not be short of images for the flyers ![]() |

Re: Not exactly a photo, but
Look good and wish you every success - I know how difficult it is trying to organise without being bossy and produce the goods. Regardless of the bride not wanting the formal groups before the event - they all seem to wish for them afterwards when they compare with parents or siblings photos and look at you and say - didn't you get one with both parents and bridesmaids?
Enjoy - I had 40 years of work as a hobby! My old pal at 84 and a professional photographer with contracts with Trust House TarMac Mobem etc said he never worked in his life - it was always his hobby!
