Nuzzle
This was my first time working with professional models in an outdoor shoot. This shot was later in the morning, the sun was moving in and out of the clouds and was one of the few that we did not take in the shade or filtered light. Looking forward to your comments regarding composition, exposure and anything else you think I could benefit from.

Re: Nuzzle
I noticed the neck fold over the neckless,,maybe a little to much red in the skin tones,,not much though. I like it, maybe to high of an angle, lower might look better,,,hee hee, I have never shot anything like this,,,but that's what I see.

Re: Nuzzle
First thing that struck me was her face obscuring his. I realise that this sort of shot will have some sort of obstruction, but for some reason I find this particular set up does not work for me. I think there is a fine line with these shots between what works and what does not.

Re: Nuzzle
Interesting.......Graham, I first shot this from a position more to the left of where this shot was taken, fully hiding his face. I moved a bit to the right to get this angle to show more of him to lend to the air of anticipation she is expressing in her eyes.

Re: Nuzzle
I've seen the others in the gallery and prefer the one where he has his back to the camera of the two.

Re: Nuzzle
Yeah, I like that one too. The image above, however, was out of pattern with the rest of the shoot and the one I had the least confidence in. That's why I put it on the critique forum to see how others felt about it.

Re: Nuzzle
I quite like the composition but I agree with Graham about the obscured face. The whole image looks a bit soft to me but this could be the compression causing that. There are a couple of 'specks' that I'd remove as they are distracting, for example the beige 'spot' top left in the green BG area. Although I am normally against the removal of spots etc when doing a portrait, I don't see this one as a portrait per se and I think the overall feel would be improved by removing the mole/spot between the ear and eye.
I would also like to have just a touch more space around the shot as it is a bit tight. Another inch all round would give us a bit more of her hand on image right and more of her hair to the left. Finally, I think this image would work better if you captured it as the man gently kissed her neck rather than hovering just above it. To me this image doesn't really speak of anticipation as much as gentle pleasure of a loving moment, so I don't think the lips being on the skin would detract from its overall feel. Good on you for getting out there with some models. I am off to look at the rest in your gallery now ![]() Cheers, Rob
