One from the 18-55.
As you can see, the Canon 18-55 does focus closer.
The edge sharpness appears to be well shy of the nikon 18-70 but none the less, pretty good for the second cheapest lens in the canon line up. ![]() |

Not as good as your dragon (as expected with your name!) but good all the same! Versatile little lenses, the kit lens - my Stigma can get pretty close too and have used it when I've not got my macro
