Opening Fuschia Bud

I received my new Raynox DCR-250 macro clip-on the other day in the post, so I decided to make use of it in my garden. This is my favourite shot of the bunch, what do you think?

Hi Nikklaus

I think that there will be a learning curve with this. I would really like this image if the petals were in focus. Their color, tonality and shapes are wonderful, but your focus is down the throat of the bud. Your depth of field should be wider to get the entire bud in focus, imho.

Also, not being a flower guy, the white rod leaves me wondering what it is, and tends to lead my eye out of the picture.

Not a bad effort, interesting composition and that.

Like the skipmeister I'd have liked to have seen at least the purple petals in focus.

Deffo give it another shot and let's see the results!
