Poorly composed and the colours are sadly lacking and flat. The eyes are almost fully black even taking into acount the iris size

I think it's a lovely shot, I agree with the distraction comment but overall, it's a great shot of an owl.

Tack sharp, neutrally exposed but when thats the only thing to say about a pic it usually means dull dull dull, I'm afraid that's the case here imo.
It's obviously captive, it's doing nothing interesting and I guess in an effort to take attention away from tethered talons you've chopped it off in a funny way. There's nothing wrong with snapping a captive bird but you need to be imaginative to avoid static bird on a stump shots like this. |
