No, not the camera

From an emotive point of view it does tell a story, which people seem to think is my "thing".

There are several things that you might do. First, not quite as much blur of the bg. Secondly, move the piglets off center a bit. I was going to say to change the color of the deep red bg, but in looking at it, I like its contrast to the cream colored footrest, and it does emphasize the boy/girl? without being overpowering.

So all in all, a very good shot.

Cute idea.

I think I would like to see the whole head (even though it is blury) rather than half a head. I know the focus is meant to be on the feet but I feel like something is missing without the whole face behind them.

HaHa! Love it! I'm with Victoria: shot to include head (portrait and landscape) and an angled one: feet in one corner, head in the other. Keep the blurred head as it works well. When will I be able to see them?
