Re: Pimms Falls
I'm conbfused, is this Bush Pig Falls or Pimms Falls? They are obviously the same place so maybe it has two different local names, not uncommon I know.
I prefer the other as it is cropped closer and has a greater strength to it. This one seems a bit too orange, again compared side by side with your other shot. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike it at all. Just not quite as much as the earlier version which I love. Cheers, Rob |

Re: Pimms Falls
thanks Rob, I don't think this has a name, I've never seen anyone here and very few people know about it, its at a part of the reserve people never go to. Often seen Bush pig here and this day I had a few Pimm drinks while down there.
having a look now looks like I pushed the saturation or colour balance.looks too red/oranje I agree. I am interested in different views on these falls. At our camera club my Bush Pigs Falls wasn't well received while this one got a merit. I prefer Bush Pig Fall cheers Andrew |

Re: Pimms Falls
b.van_der_dylan in my opinion those trees are just distracting attension, so i would like to see it as a crop of waterfall only (use your hand to hide trees and see how it looks - for me much better), colours are more or less fine, long exposure makes it interesting so exept composition it's fine.

Re: Pimms Falls
Good shot overall, the trees (with blown sky behind) are a bit distracting though, perhaps a slightly tighter crop, but keeping the foreground...

Re: Pimms Falls
I am going to disagree with some of the above comments
I like the contrast between the trees and the waterfall. What I am not so keen on is the dominating flat orange rocks in the foreground. I would have cropped that out. Then I think it is a really good photograph. I guess that there are two or three really good pictures hiding in there. AQ |
