Re: Planet Surf

I like this shot, great colorus / exposure. Perhaps it would also have been nice to have a shot where you moved more to the left, so we could see more of the pier thing, and have it coming less central into the frame.
That's just another idea though, not taking away from this shot which is great

Re: Planet Surf

thanks Jack. With a wide angle lens even a small change of position can make a massive difference to a shot/comp so I'm thinking your suggestion could have been interesting. thanks Andrew

Re: Planet Surf

Stunning sunset!!

I actually don't mind the pier finishing in the center of the picture as that's where the cenetr of the sunset is as well, it gives great lead in lines and from there we can 'explore the image in any direction we want.

I think it works very well

Re: Planet Surf

This is a lovely shot Andrew, really well-handled. Just as it is critique I'll nitpic but more for the sake of it than anything LOL...

I think I'd have liked an extra bit along the bottom so that we got the full reflections of the flags on the pier. I think you were trying t avoid the horizon line being too central and I can understand that totally. Just thought I'd stick something else in the pot to think about

Best thing I can really say about it is I wish I'd taken it

Cheers,
Rob
