Re: Portrait
I like it
I'm sure you (and she) are very pleased with this. Maybe a bit tight on the crop - could you include all of the eyebrow and chin + remove the reflection from the white of her eye? Minor things, though - very well done. |

Re: Portrait
Brilliant and not much wrong here Jack.
For me though I would like the left hand side of her hair to be a bit more in focus so that it looked less like a shadow on the background. Or perhaps it is the shadow on the background ?Its still very good in my books. Brian |

Re: Portrait
This is liable to be a bit freaky...
When i flipped this i wasn't sure why i prefered it. came up with this theory :- in short, coz we read from left to right. In the orig, chloes' left eye is closer but we have to read right to left to get to her right eye. ![]() In the flip her, apparent, right eye is on the left and we move right to get to her apparent left eye. This to us left/right readers is more natural. Might be talking out my arse mind. |

Re: Portrait
The flipped one looks better to me, Jack. Somehow it also makes her right eye sharper.
But then I'm left-handed. ![]() |

Re: Portrait
I have played with this OP, and I wasn't sure, but I decided to stay with the original for the exact reason you gave but in opposition to your justification. I think that turning it around gives your eye the chance to stay only on the left because you tend to ignore the OOF elements, which in turn means you ignore the right side.
Still not sure tho, it's pretty close run! Silkstone, he sharpened the eyes more, which is why it looks sharper ![]() |

Re: Portrait
Like the sharper eyes the crop and the shot. My only niggle is the background colour With a brunette white might be a better choice there is a slight loss of the hair into the background

Re: Portrait
I like the original, OP's is a little too sharp in the inside corner of the eye, it looks like she has a cut in the inside part of the eye and its about to burst out. IMO
