Portrait of Tatiana
I know, the limbs of the trees and Tatiana's arms tend to lead the eye out of the frame, but I think that her eyes anchor the image.

Re: Portrait of Tatiana
Skip, this is lovely.............. she has a MUCH more natural expression here than the one in the rocks and I love the relaxed attitude she is conveying!
by far one of the best i have seen of yours! Fi |

Re: Portrait of Tatiana
Good image but I feel a reflector or some fill flash may have helped lift the image a bit.

(1) Her arms are a tad overexposed + as such they do draw the viewer's attention. Could you give them a bit of a tan in PS? (was going to say burn them, but that didn't sound right at all )(2) The BG is a bit distracting + could do with being a lot more blurred + darker as well, which I'm sure you could also do in PS. I think these two adjustments would then make this very close to a 10 out of 10 for me

Re: Portrait of Tatiana
I am in agreement with a few different people on different things. I agree a reflector putting a bit of light into her face, perhaps using a gold reflector to add some warmth but she has some colour so that is ok. The path over on the right of the picture is making a very bright spot which is pulling the eye away from her face and also making her face look darker because of the contrast side by side.
I can't agree though that she looks relaxed. Her face definitely does but let me ask you to try something: put your arms in the same position as hers and tell me how comfortable you feel.... I bet the answer is not very! That position is making me feel discomofort despite the fact she has done a good job of looking relaxed for the camera. My other prob is it feels extremely central. I am not saying it has to be out on the thirds and things, rules are made to be broken, but I do feel this is dividing the image down the middle a touch. It's impossible to crop this though without cropping one of her arms so best left. I DO like the image, she has a pretty face and lovely eyes which if a touch lighter would be really attractive. It works ok but I bet you took more at that shoot and my feeling is you've got better in your set. Cheers, Rob
