Power Station MONO :O

This one is from Gravesend, and I worked pretty hard on it, considering it was taken with a bridge digi. I will be honest, I really like this, so if you say you don't, I will cry, but don't be afraid to anyway

yeah i do like it.............. and having still got my bridge camera there isnt always a lot of work to do on them!

thiink there is a tad too much sky for me in this perhaps a letterbox format would suit better? and i would like to see the smoke/steam from the chimneys stand out a bit more as its barely visible, but yeah its a nice image

For a BW picture this is very nice. I agree with Fiona a more pano picture is best for this. It looks great. You did a good job on it---so you don't have to cry

I prefer the 1st with the space and gradual darkening of the sky above the scene.

But... I have to say (and it's teeny weeny thing), that bird - 11 o'clock of the chimney on the left - any chance of getting rid?

Re the bird, I think it's dust of some sort, and yeh I'll get rid of it before I PRINT IT REALLY BIG with PIXALO PRINTING!!!!!!

On the basis of trying to make Jack cry

TBH, didn't really need it - just a different view. Original might've benefitted from more water FG but I do like the use of space

Offcentred chimneys with crop, levels, emphasised smoke (burn, ironically!) and dodged 'directional' cloud a little

I like the first best as it has room to breathe and as it is smoking, it needs all the air it can get

I do like Mark's pimp, a lot as it happens, but not as a comparison. It is a completely different picture there telling a different story. Both have equal validity and both work well as shots
