I have looked at these several times now (each time somebody adds a comment) as I agree with all the commets I chose not to post, no point just saying the same. However I believe these images to be so good that I feel compelled to put that down here.

Well done, I am sure thse will end up published somewhere in the near future.

Many thanks everyone, unfortunatly I was only around to cover Fridays evenings racing, and not the whole day of Saturday too (when the weather was far more co-operative) so I only had a few shots.

Arkady, there's one just for you below, lol

Its very difficult to capture fast moving subjects in focus, with crap light and fog, I tried the flash on some shots but it just reflected off the moisture in the air, if anyone has any suggestions for this situation I'm all ears.

Regarding getting them published, all images are frequently shared in the local press, motorsport news (countrywide), tourism stuff, and the odd postcard and calendar .... ohhhh! look at me, that sounded all impressive and up myself, LOL ..... sounds good but it still dont pay the bills!

Here's a couple more from pretty much the same spot, there is some exif data at the bottom with comments next to it.

Regards and thanks

Kris

Model : Canon EOS 10D
ExposureTime : 1/250Sec (Should of been faster, more than a few shots were too blurred.)
FNumber : F3.5 ( Which can be easily seen as the rear of the cars has been blurred. )
ISOSpeedRatings : 400 (Hind-sight tells me I should of up'ed this to 800, or possibly 1600.)
DateTimeOriginal : 2005:05:06 19:32:21
ExposureBiasValue : EV-1.0 (I tend to underexpose slightly to reduce risk of blowouts, and up shutter speed. )
ExposureMode : Auto
WhiteBalance : Auto

Two more nice shots. 8) I'm not sure you picked the wrong shutter speed there at all. These type of shots are never going to be like shelling peas - they're very demanding, and I think you have to accept a fair percentage of duds amongst the good ones.

In that situation where you're taking your shots at the same spot, I'd be inclined to switch off the autofocus, pre-focus manually on an appropriate spot on the track, and wait for the cars to come in focus.

Cheers CT, I tend to use the One shot function on autofocus, and do as you said, pre-focusing on one spot, ie: the closest edge of that puddle. I've yet to be brave enough to try the follow focus method.
