Re: A rather modern bridge
Think this composition needs to be in square format to make the most of the repeating patterns, theres a lot at the top and bottom that doesnt add much and the whole thing looks a little too strongly polarised.

Re: A rather modern bridge
i know what u mean , i did look at it in a square format but to be hones tifelt it lost something of the perspective so went back to the original format.
it was shot with a polariser but not sure what u mean by being too strongly polarised? Fi |

Re: A rather modern bridge
rotating the filter changes what light hitting the lens is polarised, sometimes it looks strong, sometimes weaker. It's just a wee bit too rich as is imo.

Re: A rather modern bridge
Fi I have been sat here with my mouse on the scroll bar moving your pic up and down seeing what it looks like without the paving slabs at the bottom. I have come to the conclusion I definitely prefer the pic without them there and it tidies the shot up a bit by removing the plant life to clean up the lines a bit.
Other than that the pic is an interesting abstract work so well done ![]() Cheers, Rob |

Re: A rather modern bridge
Nice detail and perspective. I would crop the bottom to the middle of the paving bricks and crop in both sides to keep the rectangular shape and vertical line that the framework suggests.
