Re: Repost of Blue Angel
That's better! I like this shot - you have caught it well. From a composition aspect, I think it was said before, I would like to see them on the top LH third to give them space to fly into, and I think it might improve things if the sky/clouds were darker. This is an easy fix as all you need to do is to select the sky and darken it with a levels tweak.

Re: Repost of Blue Angel
Markulous what photoshop program did you use to do this? Can it be done on Elements 4? I gotta play with my photoshop. Those planes were sure kissing up to the edge of the frame
I like how you did this--gave them some room to breath. The sky may have changed some, but that is ok. Thanks.

Re: Repost of Blue Angel
Much better size dogdots
Brief critique, as there's not really much to say, since it's a pretty straight forward record shot. I really like the juncture of the formation which you've captured here. It's amazing how damn close they look to each other I'm assuming they're not really quite as close as they look, but it just looks that way from a perspective point of view (although I'm sure they are pretty close together). Therefore you did jolly well to get this very neat shot Exposure is a bit flat 'cos you had dark planes against a light sky to meter for, so again you did well to get them both within the same exposure. A little tweaking, like Mark did (but with a real-looking sky ) is all this needs, as well as room to breathe, as has already been covered. All in all, a very good shot which just needs a little work to make it a great shot

Re: Repost of Blue Angel
I will use this shot to figure out my Photoshop. Figure it is the best picture to learn with. Yeah, that dang sky. It was a hot almost clear day. So...I will play and learn with this picture. I will then maybe post it again in here and get critiqued (did I spell that right
) on my photoshop ability cuz I don't think it will be very good. Thanks everyone for your imput---it has been very helpful.
