Nice stroll there Gary, lol. Wish I would come across a view like that in my neighborhood. I would have liked to have seen a little more of the sky but otherwise great shot!

Nice. Dramatic sky and crisp reflections. I like the way the wier takes you in to the picture.

Anyway... I'd go back when the sun is in different positions... the lighting is boring in that one. Which way are you facing, and where does the sun rise/set in relation to that shot? From what I can see, the sun is about 8 o'clock from where you're stood, and seems quite high, so maybe going back at late evening, and shooting it backlit would be nice.

No nice rivers near me. There's the sea of course, but taking high speed shots of that will just freeze the turds and used condoms as they get churned about. Plus.. i'm utterly useless at landscapes.. I'll leave that to those with more experience. I shoot people and cars generally, and spend 90% of my time in a studio. Still.. lighting is lighting... what works ina studio, works on location... in fact.. on the occasions I do venture outside, my studio experience seems to help, especially when I start to use flash on location. After all... the sun is just another flash head to me... it's just to high uip to reach if I wish to move it. |
