Re: The road to .....

There is a degree of mystery and the comp works well to lead you there but I think it needs one more item of interest - a sunset, dramatic sky, patch of light, etc to achieve what you're aiming. Think it could lose the top (down to the cloud) and the saturation is just a touch too much. The elements you have work well - just needs that little bit extra!

yep, have to agree with Mrk here, the image itself is nice if a lttle bright, but there is little in it that makes it stand apart from 1000 other images.

sorry

Re: The road to .....

Interstingly, the path idea is a good one but the shadow cutting across it is very dark and acts as a barrier to the eye trying to follow the path. I know it wouldn't stop a walker but we are only viewers so shadows can have an adverse effect on what we are trying to achieve. Other than that it works well but I'd like a suggestion that I would be rewarded for fowllowing the path if that makes sense. I hint that there is something in the distance could be something like the peak of a distant hill or even a signpost in the FG pointing to a place beyond the viewable distance in the picture.

Good idea, darn that shadow <g>

Cheers,
Rob
