I think a wider shot to show more of the stone - the top and maybe the RHS, or a tighter crop to take out the BG in the LHS might work better.

Yup, I agree, a touch more would have helped the subject to breathe a bit. But I do like the idea you have gone for. The problem is there is no real link between the word 'sacred' and its surroundings. What exactly is sacred?
