Re: sarah
![]() Yours is a better image of Sarah, but a bit stark. Maybe that is right for someone who is apparently an edgy singer (I don't know), but maybe this image is nicer. I like the shadow curve following that of her shoulders, but I would have made it softer. I would have had to play around with it because I was not sure how to do that, and I didn't have the time. I did a bit of levels correction, added a light, blurring then sharpened the eyes and mouth. Skip Last edited by skipper954; 03-12-2006 at 02:21. |

Re: sarah
Sorry Skip, don't like that, just likes out of focus, doesn't really add a dreamy quality, assuming that is sort of what you wee after. The shot itself is well lit but one little hint I would offer: she has lovely eyes but her irises are smaller than average and this is accentuated by her turning her head and moving the eyes back, leaving a large area of the white on the left of her eyes. The right side is small and also slightly in shadow so detuning them even more so we don't get a strong balance to the most important part of the picture.
I know that is a tiny detail but we also say that this type of shot really is about these little things. Having said that, I do like the image and love the lighting generally. I wonder if you might try for a shot where her face is more central and slightly dipped so that she is looking up a tad, this will add'canoes' to the eyes (shows a bit of the white under the iris) which is usually very attractive. Just a thought anyway :o) Cheers, Rob

Re: sarah
I think you are right, Rob. By the ight of day (and lower red wine blood level) this image isn't what I would like. I gotta stop putting stuff up so quickly
![]() If she didn't have her head turned to the left (and eyes pointing to the right) so much, the whites would be more equal on each side of the cornea, and more attractive. skip |
