Sasha Business Card - caution nearly nudity
Thought that I would present something a bit different.
I have been trying to do more model photography, and spent one heck of a lot of time making this business card. Yes, most of that time was trying to position correctly 10 to a page. Decided to blur pertinent info for the web.....just my innate cautiousness. So, C and C please. Remember, this is a handout to interested people and meant to grab their attention immediately ![]() skip ![]() |

I like it Skip....I know that one would normally say don't chop off the feet but in this case I think it's OK. But......I'm not keen on the font. I found I was concentrating to read the info. It's certainly catch the eye

Re: Sasha Business Card - caution nearly nudity
Do you think that a more straighforward font would be better? I was trying to be a bit classy.

Re: Sasha Business Card - caution nearly nudity
I like it too, Skip. Unlike Stephano I find the font OK.
The only thing I'd think about is if someone got hold of one of these cards indirectly, and made a booking, how disappointed would they be when a middle-aged bloke turned up for the shoot? |

Re: Sasha Business Card - caution nearly nudity
Thanks Dab
They haven't been disappointed yet ![]() At least overtly. And I am a bit on the other side of middle-aged. |

Re: Sasha Business Card - caution nearly nudity
It's okay for what it is Skip, but I don't think the model is very nice to look at. For me it would work better if she was covered more and not looking at the camera. Sorry if thats a bit harsh its just MHO

Re: Sasha Business Card - caution nearly nudity
Thanks guys (and girl). I appreciate your input. Of course I saved in psd so I can easily change the font.
And next time I have a good shoot, I shall place the model on the right side of the frame and leave room for text. I really don't have any other shots appropriate for a card. btw...cotter....everyone has different tastes in automobiles and women ![]() skip |

Re: Sasha Business Card - caution nearly nudity
Hi Skip,
Have to agree with Cotter - I like the font, but in all honesty I don't feel the photo is the right one for a business card; however, since you say you will change the photo, I will not comment on it further ![]() Could I ask who you are aiming to distribute this card to? Do you have an existing clientele, or are you trying to build clientele from scratch? Give us an idea of what type of people/companies will be looking at your card (+ deciding whether to employ your services ... ), then we could give you a more fitting appraisal of it. Perhaps, in the meantime, choose a more appropriate photo, but do you have to have a photo on the front of your business card? I don't think you need the term 'Headshots' in the list, as this is covered by 'Portraits'. In fact, I don't think you need all those words on your card, as some are indicative of others. Perhaps it's Americanese, but what do you mean by 'Casual'? Do you mean what we brits would call 'Leisurewear'? Or do you mean you are a casual photographer? Skip, if you are starting up your own photography business + are serious about it, it would really pay you to get a professional designer to design your card for you. Good luck with your venture, + please show us the final business card ![]() PS I might be persuaded to draft something for you ... for a bit of rep ![]()

Re: Sasha Business Card - caution nearly nudity
Great comments, Charlotte. Thank you so much.
You are right, there is some redundancy in the wording. Easily fixed. I am trying to hand the card out to interested models or to people who potentially may be interested. I have no contacts in the industry, and I am doing it for fun, not necessarily profit at this point. Later, who knows? And you are again right, this image may be too "risque" for the general population of potential models. But I think that an image is critical to the card for marketing. People won't pay a lot of attention to words, but they will stop to look at an image. "Casual" is prominent in the modeling profession here, meaning casual poses in casual attire. I have never given a rep, but I would be more than happy to learn how ![]() Thanks again skip |
