Re: Sea
Shadow from the cliff on the right is my only complaint.
I'd like it either longer and reaching into the water or not at all. Then you could place me and an ice cold economy sized can of beer on the shore. |

Re: Sea
Nice shot, good diagonals and colour. Overall, though, it doesn't seem particularly sharp

Re: Sea
the sharpness or lack of it bothers me as well.. but i made a mistake in this shot and still had the cam on 200 iso........ which is the only thing i can think of that would cause so much noise when i sharpened the image so i left it as is. thanx for comments

Re: Sea
maybe more dof , or if able to , step left and go slightly lower .(Just personal choice.)Still enjoy viewing the local scenery of different countries.Totally give you top points from being so high up

iam not surprised you had row....anyhow that explains why going left more isnt a option personally I dont do heights really well , but there is no way i would endanger myself and leave vk7hil or my kids without a partner or mum.thats my thoughts each to there own....just from some of the shots you have taken , looks like you have some very specy views . |

Re: Sea
I agree Chick, i dont go where I THINK im in danger.......... thats the problem tho. I knew i was perfectly safe where I was standing...... just that others sometimes dont think the same way,................... i did walk along a causeway type thing once with my partner and his orders where. if i fall in the water grab the camera..... I can swim! lolol

Re: Sea
Hi Fi
There is just some reason that this image doesn't float my boat. Perhaps it is the detail lost in the shadow on the right. Perhaps it the the (nearly) empty water on the left. Maybe it is just that there doesn't seem to be a good reason to look at this image for very long, lacking a subject? A bit of a crop where the water is breaking on the last or next to last seawall might help. Also, I wonder if you could bring up the shadows then use curves or levels to set black and white points to give more "pop"? skip |

Re: Sea
thanx Skip, this is one of these your monitor is darker than mine issues, as the shadows on my screen are quite light ( i did already lighten then) and you can see all the detail in the rock face! lol
i do agree in a way it lacks a subject as such but i was just struck by the natural shapes of the rocks leading out into the water. Fi |

Re: Sea
Aren'tcha glad I am beck with my dark monitor? And I very recently spydered it.
Look at a left hand crop.....I think that it emphasizes the diagonals of the seawalls and does make it more interesting. skip |
