Re: Seed head
I rather like these kind of shots - have an abstract feel to them.
Think maybe a little less green as there's not much happening there (and not enough to usefully be called 'space'! ) |

Re: Seed head
I like it, the amount of green is about right for me. I like the way the light picks out the details in, perhaps a touch more DoF, you'd need to be careful not too get too much in focus but I'd like to see a little bit more. Good exposure to get the right amount of contrast in the dandelion.

Re: Seed head
I have to agree with Dan, I would like to have seen just a little more in focus, the amount of green would then not bother me.

Re: Seed head
I think this is one of those shots that you put in the category of a successful practice shot. You learned that you can take a nice sharp shot of a seed head and now, you need to take it and put it in a pleasing composition. i.e. (look out - here comes a cliche) take it to the next level.

Re: Seed head
Could work if the background wasn't so dark perhaps. I agree with comments before me - I suspect something quite close in tone to the seed head itself may work better as a background. The sky would be the obvious choice.
