Re: Sensual lines and colors
Very well done.
The absolutely only thing that I can think of to critique is that the multiribbed structure at the bottom, and the green yellow structure above and to the left of it both point to the left out of the picture, and that is where the eye tends to go. The bottom structure competes with the red leaf-like form near the center for attentive focus, but the leaf is not strong enough to hold the eye in the image. Other than that, it is a smashing "painting". Now you must tell us what you did. skip |

Re: Sensual lines and colors
Yeah, that one leaf could do with being whole but I like the whole abstracty feel.
Be interesting to see how it'd look run through a de-noiser to smooth out leaves and give it more of a graphic touch |

Re: Sensual lines and colors
I love this. It has a very Arty feel to it, and is something that would look good on display. Love the colours and the lines and the way the eyes easily follow the whole image.

Re: Sensual lines and colors
A excellent photograph. The only thing I could suggest is that you select the curled red leaf which ias nicely centred on the upper right 2/3 point and just increase the contrast slightly. It is the main focal point in this picture. Well done!

Re: Sensual lines and colors
Very nice, Paul. I love the colors you've selected and would really appreciate it if you would write a tutorial for us.
But I don't find this one as sensual or suggestive as the fern & lilly leaf photo I commented on earlier this week. bonnie |
