It's a lovely shot!

Think the head's a little too central (presumably as you, correctly, focussed on it) and there's then too much background. Cropping out some along the top and RHS will solve both!

I am not going to comment on color, exposure etc because I am looking at this image on my old cruddy laptop.

It appears that the focus is not crystal sharp here, but I think that works well. We see enough of the detail, and it sort of fits in with a shaggy dog

Perhaps the only thing I would do here is to crop the left side just a bit to put his head a bit more off center and give the feeling of even more room on our right.

All in all, a very good shot.

i would crop bit of top and our left hand side , but your focus is spot on ,plenty of detail in the head ,Top image and your dog looks in great condition

heh. I wish this was my dog. I actually spotted the dog in the park and asked the owner if I could take a picture. And the nice man was more then happy.

Anyway, hows this?
