Re: a short detour
Very nice a usual, great sky, as usual
![]() Perhaps you could've lifted the grad up a bit because the detail in the trees is lost, although I can understand the issue here about the bottom of the sky then being overexposed. |

Re: a short detour
Nice eye in finding the picture opportunity!
Would make an amazing mono I would think. This particular version looks a little oversaturated to me. Almost as though it was painted or sketched in colored pencil. Additionally...NOTHING looks short on this detour! Looks like a long sweaty hike to me!

Re: a short detour
cheers Jack
thanks Wicks - had a second look at original raw as this pp and I agree a little bit over the top. small detour title was when I was about to take the shot my Wife phone me demanding to know where I was. ' just took a small detour I'll be home just now.." can't fool her she knew exactly where I was.... |

Re: a short detour
I love the sky, I'd just desaturate the pinkish tone of the rocks a touch and that would be it for me, makes a really pleasant scene.
And tell me Dylan, how do our wives always seem to know we are lying like that? Reminds me of a little joke, hope this doesn't offend anyone: Man had been doing things with his secretary that he shouldn't (you figure it out!) and then realised the time, nearly midnight. He got dressed and told his secretary to rub snooker chalk on his jacket. Puzzled she did so and said goodbye. He got home and his wife said 'Where have you been?' He said 'I can't lie to you, I have been having rampant sex with my secretary.' 'Liar,' she grinned, 'you've been down at that snooker club again with your mates, I can see the chalk all over your jacket!' ![]() Cheers, Rob
