This was the first time I have ever shot skateboarders, but I got a few shots I like so here is another

Right, I'm done something obviously stupid.
How do I reduce doe the image size without killing it ?

In what ever image processing software you use. In Photoshop it is under image size in the menu. If you use some other software it will be in a similar place. The help menu will help . I normally resize the image to get the largest size to about 800 pixels and then adjust the quality when I safe as a jpg to get the image under the 300 kb limit for Pixalo.

If you mean reducing the height to enable it to fit on the average screen, I usually use about 550 pixels for the longest side in portrait orientation.

I would not have said that was stupid, though
