Re: Slash Pine Bark
Took a trip to Corkscrew Sanctuary in Florida, an Audobon site. Great for birds, terrible for landscapes. I was hoping to get a Clyde Butcher everglades shot, but out of 100 images, there was only this one that was remotely worth posting.
I like the pattern and colors of the bark on the tree. Except for a bit of exposure and shadow editing in ps, there was no post processing. I used my trusty d70 at 1000sec @f/4.5 and 70mm (digital) focal length. Also, I am trying to get my sizing right for this website. Am I closer? Used ps2, size for web, 72dpi, etc. Thanks for your help. skip |

Re: Slash Pine Bark
Good texture their Skip. Seems like you took the shot at the right time of day to get some shadows from a low sun. SIzing looks fine to me

skipper954, nice texture, I might be inclined to crop the areas of greenery of left and right. I also think a Filters > Sharpen > Unsharp Mask might look good to bring out the edges slightly? |
