Snail in macro

Just a quick one as im off to do a photo shoot in a gym with the kickboxer's as we have the big fight next week (could be on the telly) any comments welcome will get back on tonight not sure about the border !!!

Nice shot, and I think the border works! I'm not usually one for colour borders, but this one suits because you've got the brown right!

This is a fabulous shot sawdust Can't find any crit's on this one Even the BG being quite loud does not distract because the colours are very different to those of the subject (snail) + it is sufficiently blurred so as not to distract. The border works too. Excellent DoF, sharp detail, composition, great colours, exposure etc, all spot on. Excellent work

Well, I have to disagree with Charlotte. I really like the escargot, but she didn't stand out enough from the very busy and distracting bg.

On the other hand, there is not a great deal that you can do about it, you blurred it nicely, so given what you had to deal with, you did a terrific job.

i think desaturating the background on this would have made the snail stand out a bit more., not to mono but taking away some of the brightness in the greens. I too like the border and think its suits the image
crackign sharp image well done!
