So what do you do when you've eaten all your toys?

After a nice veggie meal at the National Trust, we had their marvellous mincemeat tart with cream (good job we had a 4 mile walk home). And there I was, playing with the camera, and there was this teapot...

As said before, an innovative way of creating a self portrait & it works compositionally as well. If I were to critique anything it would be to say that given time I would have removed the tea bag tab on top of the pot & tried not to crop off the little bit of the handle. Mono conversion works really well. Colour would have added too many distractions to the shot.

I like the idea you came up with here. May I suggest the whole image could have been 'tied together' by setting the camera to self timer and then picking up the cup and saucer as though drinking. The reflection of you enjoying a cup of tea as seen in the surface of the teapot would have made a picture that really says something.

Good idea as it is and well handled (though slightly too tightly cropped on the pot handle side) with what you had there. Nice one :o)
