Re: Some Snow Drops

Gor blimey - this has to be the most popular subject on the forum!

Good to see a different take on these lovely little flowers. I like the composition and the keyline frame, but unless it;s my monitor, I'm seeing a bit of a green cast, and I'm wondering if a reflector would have been useful in lifting the RHS a little. I'm also only seeing one petal in focus, and in a shot like this, I think a deeper DoF would work better.

I'd consider loosing the end of the light leaf going out of shot on the bottom RHS.

Having said all of that, if the image was captured out and about and not in controlled conditions, you have done very well indeed to get this shot.

Re: Some Snow Drops

I, too, would have liked more dof. The glistening petals are terrific, and more of them should be in focus. I would imaging that it is difficult to get them right without without blowing the details.
