Sphinx

Another one I took on holiday in Egypt a couple of months ago. Despite being part of the last remaining 'seven wonders of the world', she sadly isn't much to look at any more:



The nose has apparently been deliberately removed. This does have some Egyptian significance - can't remember what it is, though.

It's much too light as Ken says, if you drop the levels you'll bring out all that lovely texture in the stone. Thanks Ken but...

Excellent shot, if you check out Matts tutorial for post porcessing you will see what you can do to improve this !

It's better but it needs to just go darker really. With all that lovely detail and the play of light and shadow I'd go for b&w though.
