Statue - "2nd-Time-I-Used-My-Nikon-D70" Shot
I like this camera - lots. This image was taken with a cheap lens, hand-held with an ISO speed of 800. The actual statue is on the A33 just north of the M4 on the way into Reading.
Photoshop was used to tweak the levels (but only marginally) and resize, but that's all... All opinions gratefully received.. ![]() And here's the Exif... That's nice and unusual, only thing which is slightly distracting is the light, bottom left. Would it benefit from cloning it out?

The levels are just right for maximum impact IMO - it's a nice shot. I'd clone out all those distracting lights. The only thing which bugs me is it being cut off abruptly at the bottom, although I accept that may be down to the base being not particularly attractive/suitable?
Happy new camera. ![]() EDIT.. I take the bit back about being cut off at the bottom. Dunno what happened there - it's fine now. I'd tone down that green light somewhat at the lower left it's a bit distracting - but better for the base being shown. |

I was thinking about cloning it, but then you're gonna lose a lot of the perspective, aren't you? I think what I might do is go and shoot it again, but move about 20 feet to the right and use a landscape format, so you have an imaginery line leading from the halogen (bottom left) to the statue itself...
