Storking
A little more manipulation than i'd normally go for. These are a load of Storks that live in my town on a telephone mast of all places (their eggs probably come out hard boiled). Just thought i'd see what everyone else thinks of the effort, ideas and tips would be greatly received as we have loads of storks at the moment and am getting bored taking hopeless pics in the same fashion.
![]() Some reason it's come out a little smaller than normal, but you get the idea! |

So.. this is one stork and you've combined a sequence of shots? Looks OK to me.
As for tips, wildlife photography is frustratingly difficult sometimes, but you really need to get a longer lens or get in closer. Lovely birds if you can fill the frame a little more.

Great technique though Lolyton ! As CT says ... a longer lens is really the only option unless you can get loads closer without !

Actually in this shot i wanted to make a feature of both the transmitters and the birds. CT you're right though i do need a longer lens especially to photograph these birds as they normally choose the higher spots to nest. However they do sometimes do quite low flypasts...just gotta be quick then. |
