Re: Submitting Photos

Hi Marty

I used to have odd problems with uploading, here is the way I overcame them.

Open your photo in your editing package. Check the image size conforms with the BB spec - 1000 pixels max dimention and less than 200kb.

If it is oversize, re-size it and 'save as' to a flolder you want to use for uploading as a jpeg. you may have to fiddle with the compression settings to get the final result.

Once you have the photo in this folder go the the members gallery and select 'my gallery'. This will be empty. Click on 'upload picture' and in the next screen on the top line click on the browse button and navigate to your image. double click on it, or select it and click on open, and the location of this file will appear on the top line of the screen. Scroll down to a button 'upload' and click on it. This will take you to a second screen with other options. click on the upload button on this screen and it's done.

Re: Submitting Photos

Just realised that I have mis-understood your post. Well, I have had a hard week, and brain is not up to speed yet!!

The easiest way is to put the photo on the site, then open it to the large view. Under the image and above the EXIF info, there is, on the left, the location on the site, and to the right there is a 'copy to clipboard' button. Press this button.

Go to the section you want to post the image in, then click on 'new thread' (or you can also insert an image in a 'reply' in the same way).

Type in your excuses , then click on the image button above the text entry box you are typing in. This will open a seperate dialogue box where you can paste the previously copied image location.

You can also enter a url from an on-line image store, but I think the image spec will have to comply in terms of size.

All you have to do then is to brace yourself!!

Re: Submitting Photos

Hi Marty, have a look here :- http://www.pixalo.com/community/rule...lery-6541.html

Once your photo's are loaded, whn viewing the shot in full within the gallery you should see a "UBBCode" box under the photo. If you "copy" that full URL within the box , including the [img] tags, then you can now just post that into your thread & voila your photo will show.

Any problems give us a shout.
