Re: Sunset approaching

Now that's a sky. Perfect for photography, and you've done very well to keep both detail in said sky, and in the landscape. You could probably selectively lighten the ground a little bit if you wanted, but it doesn't bother me. The focus is always going to be on the wonderful sky!

Re: Sunset approaching

fg is too dark for the sun being so high but hell the sky is great. You could try lighten it a bit see what it looks like but I do like as is

Re: Sunset approaching

Thanks all,
My instinct was as b.van der dylan. Took 3 bracketed shots but no tripod to hand and HDR did not work. Have blended the 3to get this but have lots of latitude to lightten fore ground. Will go back and play some more.

Re: Sunset approaching

It's funny how we each see things.I was thinking to darken the foreground a bit as I find it taking my attention away from that cracking sky.
Nice one though.

Re: Sunset approaching

LOL water. Actually have cropped out some of foreground. A longer lens would have been better but on my way home from work and 17-85 was all I had with me.
