Re: totally honest feedback please
Not much not to like here Dave
I think the expressions make the photo, so you have obviously got something that is attracting their attention. Also it looks like the puppy behind the others is hiding/shy and is looking a bit wary. So there is the potential for any prospective purchaser to find some personality in the subjects. Has he/she go a squint, or it is just the way you have caught him/her? I like the framing and the hi-key treatment, but would look to remove the dark line on the LHS of the LH pup. Can't make up my mind over the catchlght in one eye and not the other - but if I noticed it, maybe it is bothering me. As I said - you can't go far wrong with puppy/kitten shots and the ones you have shown us do sand out from the average because you have taken the trouble to use a background and have told them how you want them to pose. Have you found a way to remove superglue from fur?

Re: totally honest feedback please
I say add a catch light to the other eye and you have yourself a winner.

Re: totally honest feedback please
Excellent! You've captured black and white against a white background without the lighter tones being lost, and the composition is great.
![]() I'm being picky but only the left pup is looking at the camera, although you did well to get them to stay still at all, and I'd perhaps crop a little off the white space on the left. |

Re: totally honest feedback please
It's a great picture. I find myself cycling between the two 'main' heads as neither of them is sufficiently emphasised as to count as the focus of the image but actually I think that is part of what makes the image work. The pup on the right keeps pulling my attention which makes me smile then I go back to looking at the other two heads. The end result is a dynamic image which keeps the eye moving and so doesn't get boring.
It kind of breaks the rules but it works despite (or perhaps because of) that. |

Re: totally honest feedback please
Definitely high on the 'aaahhh' factor this one
Nicely taken and presented, will appeal strongly to the dog lovers among us I am certain. Can't see you've done much wrong here ![]() Cheers, Rob |
