Think you should've been a bit further to your left - 200 paces should do it!

Maybe a touch too little fore/midground for me but a nicely worked example

i agree with Mark. not abot the 200 metres to your left of course! but i can see why u wanted to keep so much of hte sky, it simply draws you in ! if it were in colour it would be what i call a "Simpsons" sky

I like it, , but I like old posts that are left over from something,,I also like the sand slightly off to the side. The sky dosen't bother me as it is all about being open spaces. The angle of the wave coming in might look better if it entered from the corner but no biggy, maybe that's why everybody brings up walking to your left. Nice picture though, I don't understand the dark under side of the clouds, being new somewhat to mono I see this alot and feel that it should be used lightly.
