Re: A Walk in the Park
Love the soft colours in the sky Jack. I would maybe have tilted the camera up a little to remove some of the blank space at the bottom of the frame and included more of the silhouetted tree tops.

Re: A Walk in the Park
Sarah has summed it up well, but how about a crop to de-centralize the people? Using an envelope on my laptop, cropping the bottom by about 50% and the LHS or RHS to the trees nearest the people looked OK.

Re: A Walk in the Park
I'll go along with losing space at the bottom, but I want to keep the people in the middle
![]() How about this: ![]() |

Re: A Walk in the Park
Thats a better crop Jack, it puts the top of the grass on a third, which is usually pleasing to the eye. Have to say, I like the lead in to the middle with the people, it works here.

Re: A Walk in the Park
I still think the people are too central here. The tree on the left is very dark and has a lot less detail so I would crop that area off along with the bottom edge. That gives a more consistent lighting along the sky. It's a shame there is not just a touch more separation between the head of the lady and the tree beyond as she is rather lost alongside the man who is completely silhouetted cleanly.
I was going to just crop this for a pimp but people can all see what a crop would be like just by moving the window off to the side so I thought I'd go the whole hog and show you an alternative. I took the woman out completely so we just have the man and his dog walking away from us through the gap. It's not perfect if you go in close but I think it gives you the idea of what I mean :o) See what you think anyway Jack. Happy new year, Rob ![]() ![]()
