Nice, simple and effective shot - may (or may not but looks that way!) need a slight CW rotate (so flat base of clouds are aligned)

Thanks Maurkulous,
Camera was set up on tripod with spirit level so I suspect a combination of wonky sign and sloping ground is to blame for the appearance. For anyone interested it is actuall Carrock Fell you can see. Miton Hill is off screen to the Right. Roger

I think it is merely an opitcal ilusion caused by the signpost, it looks ok to me.

I happen to be a big fan of new grass with a dry top,,the green to light tan colors. I would think this picture needs to be sharp in the foreground into the grass behind the sign. As it is just a little to blurred. I'm pretty sure they call this the hyper focal point.

Looking at this again I think I am with you on this Boofers. We all forget something from time to time and mine was focussingon the hyperfocal point. Next time I go this way will try again if conditions are right.
