Well, as a leader in a photoshot said a day ago, " if you don't do something dumb, you will never get that new, interesting picture."

So, while you were thinking out of the box on this, it doesn't work very well. My eye, at least, is drawn to the young lady's obvious display. I don't think that you intended that to be the focus. (or maybe you did ). Ah, I know, I am just a dirty old man.

But I think that the form similarity between the models bum and the guitar needs exploring in placing them so that thay are either in harmony or discord, and thus making an intersting picture.

I hope that you tried a lot of poses here. It is just too good to stop with a few.

My problem with the picture is that unless you are careful with the lighting, buttocks seen from straight on look "flat", with none of the pleasing curves that many favor.

I ran into this the other day when doing my first "boudoir" photo shoot. The woman in question had a shapely rear, but if I took a picture directly from behind, it was fairly uninteresting. When she turned at a slight angle, it was a different story...

I'm going to post a few of the tamer ones, after editing them a bit. I'm not sure if I can post the ones in question, since they show a bit of butt cleavage, and I was thinking that that would be over the line... Though the guideline faq do offer a way to do it, I'm feeling a bit lazy this eve....

I like it, and if you concentrate on the photograph for about 5 minutes you can see a guitar!!! Seriously though I dont mind this shot at all and if were to say anything it would be to re-shoot with black and white in mind, I feel it would just lift the shot into bieng a bit more classy and give it a bit moodier lighting,

I think it has the beginnings of a good idea but I also think you missed a trick. Why not reshoot so that the outward curve of the hip is synchronised with the inward curve of the guitar - I think that would make your point better, if I perceive your aim correctly.

Definitely an idea worth pursuing,

Dave I respect you greatly that you came to that decision on your own. I do agree with your choice to remove it BUT I was not offended by it, just felt it showed just a tad too much. I did like the guitar though!

I hope it was not my comment that made you take this shot down. Although it was not to my taste, I would not feel it needed censoring, I am happy that the admin staff would step in if any image posted was not in good taste.

Hi mate, not at all, i just had a hard long look at it and i thought it was abit over the limit. Thanks to everyone for there your honest opinion. David

Just for the record I viewed the image yesterday and thought that it was acceptable given that the thread title had the 18+ warning. I believe your intent was miles away from 'pornography' even if the subject was closer to it than we have previously had displayed here.

However it is entirely your prerogative to display or remove the shot as you see fit.

I was running through the same thought process with an early nude that I posted, and agonized about taking it down because the models legs were a bit apart. Some people just didn't like it, but were not particularly offended by it. See the interesting comments here, which probably mirror what you are going through. With the help of the Mods, I decided to keep it up, and learned a great deal from the comments.

So, I urge you to rethink, pay attention to what Steve said, and put the image back up for your benefit.

Ohh and for the record we have not/did not received any complaints about the image...we have a mature membership here that understand the art but will not tolerate porn, there are many other places on the net that cater for to that audiance
