Wedding flyer
I'm in the process of trying to design a wedding flyer which will hopefully be printed on card. This is my first idea, just a rough draft, not necessarily the final pictures and the font and info details will change but it gives an idea of where I'm hopefully going with this.
Does it float your boat or should I go back to the drawing board? ![]() Mods, I stuck it in here as I wasn't sure where to post this, feel free to move as you see fit.

Re: Wedding flyer
What is the size of this flyer going to be? I think perhaps on bigger shot with the thumbnails surrounding, or a bigger shot on the reverse? You could do this on a medium or large sheet A5 or A4
Also a phone number for those either without internet (there are still some out there...) or if you are going to try to put them in shops/shopping centres/notice boards - a phone number is a more immediate form of contact. |

Re: Wedding flyer
I'd consider losing a row - but that's probably just me (I prefer simple - less is more!).
B/W image? Lot of people want B/W (usually alongside colour) |

Re: Wedding flyer
Hi Hack
I think that there are too many images here. The viewers eye roams around without sticking to any one pic, and it becomes a bit confusing and busy. Also, I don't think it is classy enough for what you want. Perhaps you should pick 6 or less of your best images, and play with different, more artistic layout. And I agree, include several monos. I like your choice of font. It gives just the right feeling. Somewhere on the front of your card or the back, you should have more of your contact info: phone, email, location, etc. Hope this helps. Are you sure that you want to do weddings? From what I have heard and read, they are very difficult from the moment you print your card to after the album is delivered!!!!! skip Last edited by skipper954 : 14-07-2007 at 22:39. Reason: monos |

Re: Wedding flyer
Just a tip here - If you keep one side of the card two color e.g. black and white, your printing costs will be lower if you use a professional offset printer. So, consider a selection of color shots on one side and your mono shots on the reverse. Of course, if you are printing them yourself - a professional printers setup cost will not be a consideration. Still, color on one side and mono on the other might look good.

Re: Wedding flyer
For me this is excellent, not too many, not too little, gives a great flavour of what prospective clients could expect, a lovely varied set of photos of their big day.
I love it and to suggest any adjustments would frankly just be picky on my part so not going to. Hope it works well for you Colin. Cheers, Rob |

Re: Wedding flyer
I actually like it, as in one hit the potential customer see's a reasonable amount of shots, thus getting a feeling for how good you are. This may make the difference vs other togs .....remember a lot of people don't like to ask for extra proof of shots etc, so if oyu have a multiple vs just 1 from another person, it could be the clincher.
Have you also thought of backing up cards with small photo booklets of your shots, for those that you feel are more serious in their enquiries (you could always handout & ask for return) . Once again this could set you apart form the rest ? Feel free to use free offer we have on Pixalo for photo booklet & ask friends for feedback if this option works ( & no pressure to use our service moving forward )Best of luck on venture Colin & if you shoot any near Gloucestershire, happy to be your backup man for some experience .....all in Mono of course ![]() |
