Have commented on your other chess image which I must say I prefer. This is ok but I'd prefer a greater dynamic range, it feels a bit flat. I'd also like to see the complete reflection of the Bishop so that there is a small degree of separation between it and the bottom frame.

Did you work this in set-up or did you use the Omni lighting filter? Works nicely, just wondered which way you did it.

used the omni light filter....... took loads of pics and the lighting just was all wrong! lol too lazy to pull the big light out ! my own fault i guess..... more pleased with the other one,.

Just picked up on a bit of info. Omni lighting, forgot all about it,,,,I like your other picture to, but I think your doing wonderfully well with your reflections. I had the same bore cross by me last month, broke off a big piece of icicle and sat in the house shooting the reflections. Does this say anything about people with camera's. Keep up the good work, I think I'll give omni lighting a try.

omni lighting is a lighting effect you can add to an image in Photoshop. And yes i personally do prefer the other chess shots, although i do still like this one.
