Westminster Skyline - different picture, different treatment
Because of the level of processing on this picture, I have had second thoughts and decided this was not the best place to show it. I have moved it over to the Sharing thread so please do take a look at it there.

Re: Westminster Skyline - different picture, different treatment
I like the composition and the toning. I don't like the light outlines. That might be because they are not so apparent where the sky is lighter, so unbalencing the image a bit.
It could work as a light outline where the rest of the image is completely black. I think that could be quite interesting, just a white outline of the buildings on a dark BG. |

Eep! Very different! But quite good. The photo purists wont like it, it's too processed, but I think it's interesting. Although I'm not sure about the blue cast...

Re: Westminster Skyline - different picture, different treatment
Fair point Jack, perhaps I should have mentioned that. This is clearly a worked production and is not trying to be a photograph. Rather a graphic image produced using a photograph. In many ways it could be argues almost all digital photos are worked versions but not always so heavily processed. This one makes no attempt to hide the fact it is a processed image so in some ways perhaps it should be on the Sharing thread rather than the Critique thread as I agree it is hard to assess a photograph when it is processed so much.
I think I'll cancel this here and move it to the Sharing thread: Westminster Picture Cheers, Rob
