Cor blimy Fi still trying to work it out is it a little chinaman in hi paddy field repeted over and over still it's a cracking abstrack shot [do you spell abstrack like that ]

lol Sawdust, its actually made up of tiny mirrors ( obviously) mounted on the circular base, they are hung all round the building of the kibble Palace in glasgow botanicals, and aimed down to lights in the floor (the bright dot thing in the bottom left of each tiny mirror). the reason they do this is because the building is completely made of metal and they are not allowed to put lights on the metal.

Well at first glance I thought it was a huge disco ball of some sorts.

then after reading Sawdust's comment I could see sorta what it was, very interesting indeed.

Maybe if you add different color shifts into each cell it would make a very interesting effext, when you have had a little too much wine

Sorta like maybe a staiined glass effect ??

That is part of the fun of an abstract. Everyone has a different take on it.

Fi, can you include the entire circle without destroying the feeling? I think that would be better.

IMO what makes this notable is the gradation between the bottom and top. Good work, particularly for a non abstract photographer...sez you.

thanx all........ yep skip i can include the entire circle, not sure if it works the same tho . will have a look later. have a whing of photos from a day out in Edinburgh today...... but damn those flaming tourists! lol although i dont think they were well pleased when i umped the queue in front of about 60 of them to get into Edinburgh castle without waiting! lol
