Wood Burning Chimenea

This was taken on my compact Fuji F30 before I even had a DSLR!

It was pitch black outside so the contrast between the fire and the darkness is quite striking.

Any comments welcome!

Re: Wood Burning Chimenea

It's a very striking photo. The contrast around the edge looks really weird mind, almost like a bad attempt at a PS Frame, so I think you'd get a much more pleasing image if you just cropped out the black surround and the fire itself is great.

Re: Wood Burning Chimenea

I decided to leave the black around the edges as it seems to frame the picture, this was actually how the picture looked when I took the photo. There was very little photoshopping involved, just boosted the orange/red saturation.
When I get home I'll give it a good pruning around the edges to see how it looks, thanks for the advice chrisa.
