Re: Yarrow Valley Country Park

It looks a bit underexposed, and I am guessing ehre but this looks like you have used the shadows tool from PS. It's a lovely scene and you've composed it nicely but I think it's a good stop and a half underlit.

You're definitely not wrong to like it Ray, it's a peaceful autumn scene and despite being a tad dark is very pleasant indeed

Cheers,
Rob

Re: Yarrow Valley Country Park

Lovely scene, if you're wrong to like it then so am I

It just needs a simple tweak to bring some brightness and vibrancy in. (added a levels layer and pulled the right hand slider to the edge of the detail in the histogram.

A picture's worth a thousand words.

You've done well to capture the colour in the trees and the detail in the darker areas without blowing out the sky.

cheers

Dan

Re: Yarrow Valley Country Park

Having looked again after I posted this it'd probably be worth adjusting the mid-point slider a touch to the left as well to lighten some of the shadows a bit.

cheers

Re: Yarrow Valley Country Park

Was just about to say that dan when I read your second comment. Shift the mid-point to the left as well and that's it done. And the shot is worth it Ray, it's got some lovely colours in there and you did well to frame the picture with foliage. Well done

Cheers,
Rob
