Here's one I took with my wife's Canon S5 IS, thought I'd put it here especially for people like Whipspeed and the others who like horses :o)

The title just seemed to fit somehow! I thought I'd keep some of the lovely meadow around them as it fits them into a context. I vignetted it a touch to keep the focus in the middle, touch of sharpening and that is pretty much it.

There were several foals in the field already, I took a few shots of those too but access to the field was impossible, a big ditch and barbed wire keeping me at a distance so i couldn't get a good view of them. There must have been about 15 adult horses and about 5 foals in total but spread over quite a distance, I should think the field was about a kilometre long.

Not my usual type of shots but I enjoyed a few minutes watching these very gentle creatures relaxing in the meadow like field they were in. This is actually right next to a major A road in Christchurch, Dorset.

There is a nice balance to this scene. Peaceful, relaxed country setting. Makes me wish I was there.
