1st rough IR shot with R72 filter

Not ideal weather for IR as overcast & slight breeze, but I managed to take this shot from bedroom window, with camera propped in portrait position against window ledge (no tripod ). Taken at IS0400, f8, 30 secs Also this shot is 1/4 crop of overall shot. 50mm f/1.8 lens with R72 filter.

Converted to Mono, slight S curve, gradient added to sky & noiseware applied

Now here is similar shot without IR filter & following same processing path. Note although the sun was not breking through some parts of cloud, overall overcast conditions similar

Note the non IR shot would take a fair bit more processing to get correct result.

Now must get a tripod & wait for a nice sunny day to really try this filter out

Re: 1st rough IR shot with R72 filter

Dave, it looks as though a slight breeze is OK for 30 secs. It was a gale when I took mine and the clouds were completely blurred. This reminds me that I must get out and try the filter again. What camera were you using?
