Correcting chromatic aberrations
I was reading the lens reviews on Photozone and it mentioned that chromatic aberrations are quite easily correctable but it didn't say how and I've never seen a tutorial on it. Can someone fill me in on getting rid of them? Also how do you treat purple fringing?
Cheers in advance. |

There's a tool to do this in CS2, Filters->Distorting->Lens correction

Also with CS2 if you use Adobe Bridge & then Camera Raw, there is a tab there for lens correction.
Doh...just seen Noah's post

Ah... Cheers guys.
Don't spose RawShooter Essentials has a similar thing? Photozone said it does but I can't find it. Otherwise I'll just use the lens correction filter. |

Jamey, I think this has been added to the 2006 version of RSP but that the 2006 version of RSE is not out yet.

The current and only version Of RawShooter | Premium is 2006 and it does not contain any tools specifically aimed at correcting CA. There are some ways that you could address that in RS Premium but it is far more complicated than the simple sliders in CS.
Weather Pixmantec add that feature to either Essentials or Premium in the future, remains to be seen. |
